What are the main uses for Names & Numbers CE?

How will the UK Peoples Act affect Names & Numbers CE?
AFD have been planning for the impact the Act will
have on the collection and use of Electoral Roll data for some time, and have taken steps to ensure the highest possible quality of data within Names & Numbers after these changes come into place (ie after 2002). It is likely that, by using historical Electoral Roll data records, the new Commercial Electoral Roll, along with the other data sets – like Royal Mail Data, Telephone Subscriber information and commercial data sets, the impact on Names & Numbers will be minimal.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Names & Numbers CE requires a Compaq iPaq pocket PC running Windows CE, with a Microdrive or other large capacity drive (minimum
1GB) and connectivity with a Desktop/ Notebook PC via Microsoft ActiveSync®.
PRICES
The only comprehensive name, number and address reference available for a handheld device: just £99 per month under the POP scheme, or £950 + VAT. Further price details available for multi-users, renewals and data updates. Names & Numbers CE includes a data license for one computer, renewable annually.
